Welcome to the download page for LANCE, a chat program written as an extra project for BND1 - Software Development.
The .zip file to download contains the chat installer in the chat folder, and the source code (Visual Studio) project for reviewing in Form_TCPClient folder. Form_TCPClient was the project name before LANCE was envisaged.
This program was written without thought (ha!) and much of the code is quite rubbish. Therefore, install and use at your own risk, it may just freeze your machine whilst accessing an vital DLL so corrupting your O/S.
To use the program, what happens when it starts is shows you your own IP address what another person needs to enter in the bottom text box next to ; Connect to Host ; button. Once you both connect to the others IP address you can chat to one another.
That said, the exit button destroys the other users program connection forcing them to restart the program. This function was added for war games over the network.
